U prvoj utakmici novog njemačkog nogometnog prvenstva branitelj naslova Bayern je kao domaćin u Muenchenu deklasirao RB Leipzig sa 6-0, a hrvatski reprezentativac Josip Stanišić odigrao je čitav susret za Bavarce i sudjelovao u akciji kod prvog gola.

U 27. minuti upravo je Stanišić povukao loptu sa sredine igrališta, ubacio se u kazneni prostor i potom natjerao gostujućeg braniča na pogrešku kojom je "servirao"loptu na udarac Olisea koji je pogodio za 1-0. Do kraja prvog poluvremena su Diaz (32) i Olise (42) svojim drugim golom povisili na 3-0, da bi u nastavku Kane (64, 74, 78) "hat-trickom" postavio konačni rezultat.

U subotu će na teren Heidenheim - Wolfsburg, Union Berlin - Stuttgart, Bayer - Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt - Werder, Freiburg - Augsburg i Sankt Pauli - Borussia Dortmund, dok će u nedjelju svoje susrete 1. kola odigrati Mainz 05 - Koeln i Borussia Moenchengladbach - Hamburger SV.
