Požari u Francuskoj i Španjolskoj i dalje bjesne: Nove evakuacije tijekom noći, dosad je domove napustilo 300.000 ljudi

Veliki požar koji je zahvatio područje oko kotline u francuskoj regiji Novoj Akvitaniji i sada prijeti predgrađu Bordeauxa opustošio je 42.000 hektara zemlje, objavila je u nedjelju prefektura Girondea, a zbog požara u Francuskoj i susjednoj Španjolskoj evakuirano je više od 300.000 ljudi.

Od srijede je u Francuskoj evakuirano ukupno 220.000 ljudi.

„Od 4 sata ujutro u nedjelju procijenjena spaljena površina iznosi 42.000 hektara“, objavila je prefektura na tiskovnoj konferenciji, dodajući da je autocesta A63 između Bordeauxa i Španjolske zatvorena u duljini od 60 km.

Evakuirani su u noći na nedjelju stizali su u skloništa u Francuskoj i Španjolskoj, gdje su vlasti već evakuirale više od 300.000 stanovnika u blizini Bordeauxa i Madrida suočenih s katastrofalnim požarima.

Jedna je osoba poginula u požaru, koji je sada pod kontrolom, u blizini Valencije u istočnoj Španjolskoj.

U subotu navečer lokalne su vlasti naredile daljnje evakuacije u nekoliko gradova u blizini Bordeauxa (jugozapadna Francuska), uključujući Cestas, grad s 55.000 stanovnika.

Prema riječima vatrogasaca u departmanu Gironde, koje je kontaktirao AFP, požar je toliko intenzivan da se formirao "pirokumulonimbus", gdje vatra "stvara vlastiti vjetar, s vrtlozima, postajući nepravilna i nekontrolirana" vatrena masa.

Od subote navečer francuska je vojska uputila ukupno 1500 vojnika u borbu protiv požara.

Šume se lakše zapale jer su vegetacija i tlo mjesecima u Europi izuzetno suhi, što je fenomen koji su pogoršali iznimni toplinski valovi koji su zahvatili kontinent u lipnju i srpnju, uzrokujući isparavanje još više vode.

Još jedan požar i dalje je vrlo aktivan u jugoistočnoj Francuskoj, u departmanu Var.

Taj je požar već spalio 3250 hektara u pet dana.

Otok Korzika također se već nekoliko dana bori s požarom u Haute-Corseu, koji se vatrogasci muče obuzdati.

Prema vlastima, požar je zapalio više od 800 hektara u području Cortea.

Šumski požari bjesne i u Španjolskoj.

„Danas smo malo pesimističniji nego jučer. Vremenski uvjeti, kao što ste vidjeli tijekom dana, uopće nisu pomogli. Noć ne izgleda baš obećavajuće; neće nam biti lako“, upozorio je ministar unutarnjih poslova Fernando Grande-Marlaska novinare u subotu.

Navečer su vlasti naredile evakuaciju još osam gradova u regiji Toledo, zapadno od Madrida.

Ranije je ministar izvijestio da je u madridskoj regiji evakuirano 60.000 ljudi.

Dva odvojena šumska požara spojila su se u petak u jedan masivni požar, koji je bio na rubu spajanja s drugim požarom u susjednoj regiji Kastilji i Leónu.

Požar je opustošio 25.000 hektara zapadno od španjolske prijestolnice.
